The Haunting In Connecticut

Movie Review:
"The Haunting In Connecticut"

SUMMARY:

Based on a chilling true story, The Haunting In Connecticut charts one family's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover.

Now unspeakable terror awaits, when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the powerful dark forces of the supernatural, returns to unleash a new kind of horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family.

REVIEW by DAMIAN CHEONG:

Basically, it was quite a horrifying movie, I would say and due to its shocking scenes that forced me to shut my eyes. With a low budget cast, this horror flick gave it its very best under the direction of Peter Cullen.

Considering the fact that this film was based on a true story, it is heartwarming to watch stories which were factual. Thus, personally, I like close-to-heart movies as I would relate better to it. Well, the history part got a little too draggy and how I wished I could fast-forward those parts but it was needed as it is the basis of the plot.

Overall, I would give a star rating of 3 out of 5.
